Ashland Farmers Market

Support Local at the Ashland Farmers Market!

COVID-19 MARKET UPDATE:

Everything is wonky right now and nothing is normal. We'd like to keep some home-grown comfort in your life.

We will hold a walk-up market with many guidelines in place for the safety of our customers and vendors.

Vendors will be spaced far apart to allow for social distancing. We will have one-way pedestrian traffic using entrance and exit points, with a hand sanitizing station at the entrance. Customers will park near the entrance to the bus loop, (unmarked spaces, but room for quite a few cars) or on the street. The Henry Clay Elementary parking lot will be for vendors only.

Face coverings will be required for both vendors and customers.

Pets are not allowed in the market space.

While vendors will have some products available for onsite purchases, pre-orders, (and prepayment when possible) are still strongly encouraged.
Walk-up hours are 9-11 a.m.

For the latest information on how this will work and for vendor listings, check out our Facebook page or subscribe to our weekly e-newsletter.

Also, please see our website here:  Ashland Farmers Market

Please email the market manager with any questions and stay well!

WHEN: Every Saturday from May through October, with special holiday markets in November and December. Hours are 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

WHERE: Beginning in January 2019 the Farmers Market will be located in the parking lot of Henry Clay Elementary School, 310 S. James St., just two blocks west of our present location. This will be our temporary home until the construction of the new Ashland Town Hall is completed! Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions on our location! Thanks!

We are a producers-only market: Vendors may only sell products that they have grown, baked, or made. No reselling is permitted. All products come from vendors based within a 30-mile radius of Ashland, VA.

Some examples of what our vendors have to offer:

• A vast array of in-season vegetables and herbs, including famous Hanover tomatoes
• Seasonal fruits and berries
• Fresh-cut flowers and potted plants
• Local honey
• Baked goods – breads, cookies, pies, cakes, and more
• Grass-fed and pastured meats
• Farm-fresh, pastured eggs

Our policies are established by the Market Committee, comprised of our vendors, prior to the market season, and they are reviewed annually.
